Fantasy Premier League – Top Picks for FPL Gameweek 31
1809

Fantasy Premier League returns this weekend following the international break. With only eight gameweeks remaining this season, it’s team to get your FPL team ready for the run-in.

Burnley and Everton double up in Gameweek 31, with no blanks on the schedule. Although it is not the most attractive double gameweek in FPL history, there are still plenty of points to be earned.

Before we check out the best FPL players for Gameweek 31, let’s take a look at the fixtures.

  • Liverpool vs. Watford
  • Brighton vs. Norwich
  • Burnley vs. Man City
  • Chelsea vs. Brentford
  • Leeds vs. Southampton
  • Wolves vs. Aston Villa
  • Man Utd vs. Leicester
  • West Ham vs. Everton
  • Tottenham vs. Newcastle
  • Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal
  • Burnley vs. Everton

With Manchester City visiting Turf Moor on Saturday, Burnley’s double gameweek is far from favourable. Everton have a slightly easier clash against West Ham before they face Burnley next Wednesday.

Liverpool and Watford get the action underway in Saturday’s early kick-off. That means the Gameweek 31 deadline is 11:00 (BST) on Saturday – 1.5 hours before Jurgen Klopp’s side face the Hornets.

Anyway, here are the best players for FPL Gameweek 31.

Goalkeepers

Naturally, Nick Pope (Burnley) and Jordan Pickford (Everton) are the best goalkeepers for Gameweek 31. Although Burnley and Everton are struggling at the bottom end of the table, they are the only teams that play twice this week.

Looking away from the double gameweek options, Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Man City) and Edouard Mendy (Chelsea) are the best picks. After all, their teams boast the best defensive records in the Premier League.

Defenders

There aren’t too many exciting double gameweek options when it comes to defenders. James Tarkowski (Burnley) is arguably the best pick for the Clarets, while Seamus Coleman (Everton) is the most reliable Toffees defender.

Andrew Robertson (Liverpool) is probably the best premium defender with Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) out injured. Elsewhere, Joao Cancelo (Man City) is the fourth-highest scoring player in the entire game.

Midfielders

If you’re looking for a double gameweek midfielder, Demarai Gray (Everton), Anthony Gordon (Everton), Maxwel Cornet (Burnley) and Dwight McNeil (Burnley) are likely to pick up the most points.

It goes without saying that Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) could run riot against relegation-threatened Watford on Saturday. Other top premium midfielders include Sadio Mane (Liverpool), Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) and Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd).

Forwards

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton), Richarlison (Everton) and Wout Weghorst (Burnley) are the best options if you’re searching for a double gameweek forward. But the question is – can you trust them to score goals?

Those of you searching for a more reliable forward for Gameweek 31 may want to consider the likes of Harry Kane (Tottenham) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd).
