The race for the Scudetto will go down to the wire this season. AC Milan lead the table but Napoli are right on their tails with just one point separating the teams. Meanwhile, Inter Milan and Juventus are still in the title picture with eight games to play.

Empoli FC  – Spezia Calcio

Spezia are unbeaten in six straight games in all competitions versus Empoli. However, the stat is a bit misleading as five of those games ended as draws, including the teams’ reverse fixture in Serie A played back in December.

Empoli have slowly edged toward the relegation zone throughout the Serie A season. Currently 14th, the Azzurri are safe for now with 11 points separating them from the bottom three. Empoli went winless in their last six Serie A games.

Spezia won two of their last three matches ahead of this weekend’s visit to Empoli. They claimed a 1-0 win over relegation rival Venezia last time out. Spezia are 10 points ahead of the drop and look increasingly safe for next season.

  • Both teams scored in all of Empoli FC's last 9 home games in Serie A.
  • The most recent games of Spezia Calcio consist of 3 consecutive away defeats in Serie A.
  • Empoli FC have won just 1 of their last 15 matches in Serie A.
  • Spezia Calcio have managed just 4 wins in their last 24 away league games.
  • Prediction: Under 2.5 goals @ 2.00

Inter Milano - Hellas Verona

Inter Milan are unbeaten in five straight Serie A games and are coming off of a 1-0 win in Turin over Juventus in the Derby d’Italia. The Nerazzurri are four points behind first-place AC Milan with a game in hand. Hellas are ninth and fighting for European qualification for next term.

The Gialloblu took nine points from the last 18 points on offer. Their last two games in Serie A ended without defeat. Hellas Verona were +2 in goals across their last six games.

Inter Milan are unbeaten in their last six games versus Hellas Verona with five of those matches ending as wins. The Nerazzurri won 3-1 earlier this season at the Bentegodi in Verona.

  • Inter Milano haven't lost in 48 of their last 52 matches in Serie A.
  • Hellas Verona's form hasn't been good, as the team has won only 3 of their last 19 away matches (Serie A).
  • Inter Milano are reaching an average of 2.40 goals in home Serie A games.
  • Hellas Verona are unbeaten in 6 of their last 7 Serie A games.
  • Prediction: Inter Milano @ 1.40

Genoa – Lazio

Lazio smashed Genoa 3-1 at the Stadio Olimpico earlier this season. Now, Maurizio Sarri’s team is seeking a third straight win over the Grifone. However, Genoa are unbeaten in two of their last three games at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris against Lazio.

Genoa suffered their first loss under coach Alexander Blessin last time out against Hellas Verona. Three points separate Genoa from 17th-place Cagliari in the race for survival. Genoa went unbeaten in five of their last six games in the league.

Lazio are sixth and seven points back of fourth-place Juventus. The Biancocelesti won 2-1 against Sassuolo last time out to keep pace with the rest of the European qualification chasing teams. Lazio scored eight goals and conceded seven times across the last six games.

  • In Genoa's last 3 home Serie A matches, they have managed to keep a clean sheet.
  • Lazio haven't suffered a half time loss in their last 13 meetings with Genoa (Serie A).
  • In their last 33 home games in Serie A, Genoa have recorded only 5 wins.
  • Lazio haven't been defeated by Genoa in 5 of their last 6 away Serie A matches.
  • Prediction: Lazio @ 1.91

AS Roma – Salernitana

Roma are red hot going into Sunday’s match at home with Salernitana. The Giallorossi went unbeaten in their last six Serie A games collecting a league best 14 points from 18 possible. Salernitana are on a two-game losing streak and took a mere three points from the last 18 available.

Salernitana are headed back to Serie B. They are last in the league table with 16 points from 29 games. Salernitana have allowed 66 goals to opponents, the most in the league.

Roma scored four of those 66 goals against Salernitana in the reverse fixture. The Giallorossi romped to the win and will fancy another. Roma are coming off of a Thursday night Europa Conference League match with Bodo/Glimt.

  • AS Roma's most recent record of 10 consecutive games in Serie A consists of no losses.
  • Salernitana have achieved just 1 wins of their last 19 Serie A games.
  • AS Roma are unbeaten in 30 of their last 35 home matches in Serie A.
  • Salernitana have allowed 1+ goals in their last 22 matches in Serie A.
  • Prediction: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.57
