Fantasy Premier League – FPL Picks, Best Players and More for Gameweek 27
1134

With four teams – Brentford, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Southampton – playing twice in Double Gameweek 27, Fantasy Premier League managers have plenty of decisions to make ahead of this weekend.

Before we go over the best players for FPL DGW27, let’s take a closer look at the fixtures to determine which teams to target.

  • Bournemouth vs. Liverpool
  • Leeds vs. Brighton
  • Everton vs. Brentford
  • Leicester vs. Chelsea
  • Tottenham vs. Nottm Forest
  • Crystal Palace vs. Man City
  • Man Utd vs. Southampton
  • West Ham vs. Aston Villa
  • Fulham vs. Arsenal
  • Newcastle vs. Wolves

As you can see, Tottenham and Man Utd have favourable home fixtures, while Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City are expected to win on their travels. Elsewhere, the DGW fixtures are scheduled for next Wednesday.

  • Southampton vs. Brentford
  • Brighton vs. Crystal Palace

There is no denying that Brentford and Brighton have the most attractive fixtures, but you shouldn’t disregard Palace and Saints players altogether. With that in mind, here are the best FPL players for DGW27.

Goalkeepers

Seagulls manager Roberto De Zerbi shocked everyone by dropping Robert Sanchez (Brighton) last weekend, making Jason Steele (Brighton) an attractive option for DGW27, alongside David Raya (Brentford).

The clean sheet odds also favour Man City, Tottenham, Man Utd and Newcastle, meaning Ederson (Man City), Fraser Forster (Tottenham), David De Gea (Man Utd) and Nick Pope (Newcastle) are all viable picks.

Defenders

In terms of Double Gameweek defenders, Ben Mee (Brentford) has the most FPL points with 96. Rico Henry (Brentford), Pervis Estupinan (Brighton) and Lewis Dunk (Brighton) have also notched 68+ points this season.

With low-scoring Wolves visiting St. James’ Park this weekend, Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) is back in FPL contention. Eric Dier (Tottenham) and Luke Shaw (Man Utd) also have the potential to get both defensive and attacking returns.

Midfielders

The Brighton trio of Solly March (Brighton), Alexis Mac Allister (Brighton) and Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) look set to enjoy plenty of success in DGW27, while James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) and Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) are solid differentials.

When it comes to Single Gameweek midfielders, in-form Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), goal-hungry Marcus Rashford (Man Utd) and all-round performer Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) are arguably the best options.

Forwards

With Everton and Southampton up next for the Bees, Ivan Toney (Brentford) is the best DGW forward, as the talisman has notched 15 goals and three assists in 22 Premier League appearances this season.

Danny Welbeck (Brighton), Evan Ferguson (Brighton), Che Adams (Southampton) and Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) are also worth considering, as are the obvious picks like Erling Haaland (Man City) and Harry Kane (Tottenham).
