Nice Looking to All But Secure UECL Football While Le Havre Aim to Officialy Survive the Drop

Two sides at opposite ends of the Ligue 1 table meet this weekend with Forebet putting together the latest data, while looking at the latest trends and mathematics, and grouping together the probability of a win between Nice and Le Havre.

Nice are still fighting for a spot in Europe ahead of the final two games of the league campaign. Earlier on in the season, the club were in the top three and battling for a position in next year’s Champions League.

However, this rapidly faded at the start of 2024, and now it seems as if a spot in the Europa Conference League is their most likely outcome.

Nice can still end up in the Europa League, as they have a gap of only four points on Lille in fourth while also having a game in hand.

There are also two more games for Nice to play after that game in hand, so it isn't all doom and gloom in terms of their Europa League hopes.

On the other hand, Lens are right behind them in sixth with just a gap of two points on them in fifth, so a win here could be vital just to stay in the Europa Conference League spot.

Nice are on a positive run of form since losing at home to Nantes at the end of March, as they went unbeaten throughout April.

This started with a lacklustre 0-0 draw with Reims at the start of the month before a 3-0 victory over Lorient that saw Morgan Sanson, Jeremie Boga and Evann Guessand all back on the scoresheet at 10 shots on target throughout the game for Nice.

The club then drew 2-2 with Marseille with Terem Moffi getting just his 11th goal of the season in what has been a drastic drop in form from the French striker. Melvin Bard also scored that day too.

Last time out, Nice stayed in fifth with a win over Strasbourg with Dante getting a rare goal before Sanson got another for the season. Guessand also bagged a finish from the penalty spot.

Le Havre are out of the bottom three for the time being, although they are just three points above Metz in the relegation playoffs spot.

They should stay clear of the automatic drop zone, as they are six clear of Lorient in 17th with just six points left to potentially gain - they will avoid the bottom two spots if they match or better Lorient's result this weekend.

Forebet predicts a win for Nice and over 2.5 goals.
