    The lowest ranked nation in the competition, North Macedonia will be confident of ruffling a few feathers at Euro 2020. Let’s not forget that Angelovski’s men claimed a memorable win over Germany earlier this season.

    North Macedonia’s maiden Euros campaign starts with a match against Austria in Bucharest on June 13. Four days later, Angelovski’s side face Ukraine at the same venue.

    In their third and final Group C clash, North Macedonia come up against the mighty Netherlands in Amsterdam on June 21.

    • North Macedonia’s Star Player

    Elif Elmas: 37-year-old Goran Pandev is still going strong, while Ezgjan Alioski will be familiar to Leeds and Premier League followers. But Elif Elmas is arguably North Macedonia’s most important player.

    At just 21, the midfielder featured in all but five of Napoli’s Serie A matches last season and already has 25 caps for his country (six goals). Oh, and he also scored the winner in the famous victory over Germany back in March.

    • How Far Can North Macedonia Go?

    Elmas, Pandev and Alioski are all capable of producing moments of magic, but can the trio steer their side to the knockout phase? It is definitely a big ask.

    With Holland expected to finish atop Group C and both Austria and Ukraine likely to battle it out for second place, North Macedonia look set for an early exit.
