It’s absolutely no surprise to see that Real’s top goalscorer in the Madrid derby is Cristiano Ronaldo. No player in European football history has more goals than the former Real man, and his notable legendary stats include being his former sides all time top scorer.
His goals against Atletico came in the form of hat-tricks, free kicks, penalties, headers and with both feet. In total, Ronaldo achieved 22 goals against them
The legendary former Atletico striker, Paco Campos, spent most of his career at the club and put himself as one of their top goalscorers of all time. He also had a decent record against Real with 12 finishes, which actually times him with the legendary figures of Emilio Butragueño and Santiago Bernabéu.
There are a handful of players who have got over 30 appearances in the Derbi Madrileño. The leading man is one of the all-time appearances makers for both Real and within La Liga itself, Sergio Ramos. In total, Ramos played 43 times in this fixture, including two Champions League final wins, both of which he scored in.
Koke of Atletico Madrid is closing in on Ramos, however, with 40 on the board already, and with him still at the club, he is likely to go on and surpass that and close in on 50 appearances.
Elsewhere, Luka Modric has 35 and is still set to get at least two more appearances in this fixture, while Karim Benzema also has 39.
Once more, there is no surprise with the win stats and data and to see Real absolutely bossing this local derby. Los Blancos have even managed to win two Champions League finals over Atletico, both within jus a few years of one another last decade.
Real have 116 wins from the 236 matches with another 61 of the games ending in draws. Sadly for Atletico, they have only gone on to win 59 times, meaning Real have nearly double their amount of victories.
Real have also scored 391 goals compared to Atletico's 297.
