Wolfsburg sit 3rd in the Bundesliga table following their 2-0 away win over Augsburg last time out, while Gladbach lost 2-1 in their own backyard to Cologne and now occupy 7th spot.

The visitors will be without midfielder Denis Zakaria whose knee injury is expected to keep him out of action for at least another week.
