Everton will be looking to make it four wins from four when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Toffees have started the season in eye-catching form and remain one of only three teams to have won each of their opening three games.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Tottenham before hammering West Brom 5-2 the following weekend.

Everton then maintained their 100% record last weekend by securing an impressive 2-1 away victory against Crystal Palace.

The Toffees have also booked their spot in the EFL Cup quarter-finals following three straight wins, seeing off Salford (3-0), Fleetwood (5-2) and West Ham (4-1).

Everton have made some marquee signings this summer, with James Rodriguez, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan coming in to strengthen the midfield.

But there is no denying that Dominic Calvert-Lewis has been the star of the show so far. The striker has netted five goals in three league games and bagged his second hat-trick of the season in the EFL cup in midweek.

On the flip side, Brighton’s season began with a 3-1 defeat to Chelsea. However, the Seagulls bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Newcastle on Matchday 2.

Graham Potter’s side must have thought they’d sealed a draw against Manchester United after Solly March scored an equalizer in the 95th minute.

But following a VAR review after the final whistle, Manchester United were awarded a penalty, which Bruno Fernandes scored in the 100th minute to snatch the points.

It could be argued that Brighton have been very unfortunate in the early stages of the season. However, they must improve if they want to steer clear of relegation trouble.

Head-to-head: These two sides each picked up a win in this fixture last season, with both teams claiming a victory on home soil.

In fact, the home side have won in each of the last five meetings between Everton and Brighton – the Toffees winning three and Brighton winning two.

Team news: Mason Holgate, Jonjoe Kenny, Cenk Tosun and Jean-Philippe Gbamin are all sidelined for Everton, while Allan and Richarlison are doubts.

Brighton will be without the suspend Yves Bissouma, while Jose Izquierdo, Florin Andone and Davy Propper are all on the treatment table.

Everton have scored over 2.5 goals in four of their six games in all competitions this season, so this is likely to be another high-scoring affair.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin in red-hot form, Forebet predicts that Everton will once again score over 2.5 goals on their way to victory this weekend.
