Earlier this season it seemed that Celtic may face an actual challenge from arch-rivals Rangers for the SPL title. However, as the Hoops head into Wednesday’s home game with Hearts at Celtic Park, it is very much advantage the Scottish champions in the title race.

While Celtic are in their now almost perennial position of top of the table, Hearts find themselves rooted to the bottom of the SPL. The Jambos have endured a poor campaign in the Scottish top-flight.
A 3-2 home defeat by Kilmarnock last time out in the SPL means that the visitors have now won just once in their last 13 league matches. Prior to the defeat, the team from Scottish capital had put together a four-game unbeaten run, consisting of three draws and a win.
Unsurprisingly considering their league position, Hearts recent away form has been poor. In fact, the visitors have won just once in their last 17 games on their travels in the SPL.
