Arsenal host Wolves at the Emirates on Saturday. The Gunners are 5th, while Wolves sit four points behind in 12th.

Arsenal lost to Liverpool in the EFL Cup earlier this week. Following a thrilling 5-5 draw after 90 minutes, Unai Emery’s men were knocked out on penalties.

The Gunners could only manage a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace in their last Premier League game. Arsenal were 2-0 up inside 10 minutes, only to throw away their two-goal lead.

Wolves also lost in the EFL Cup on Wednesday. Their defeat to Aston Villa put an end to an impressive run of eight straight wins in all competitions.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have won two and drawn three of their last five league matches. This run includes a stunning 2-0 victory over Manchester City.

Raul Jimenez has carried his fine form in 2018/19 over to this season and the Mexican forward is Wolves’ top scorer. He has 10 goals in 19 appearances in all competitions this term, but his team mates have failed to chip in with goals on a regular basis.

Fellow forward Diogo Jota has netted four times in 16 appearances, but no other Wolves player has managed to score more than two goals this season.

Wolves and Arsenal have both been very inconsistent this season. Both teams have managed consecutive Premier League victories just once, so both managers will be desperate for some consistency.

Team news now and Reiss Nelson remains unavailable for selection due to a knee injury. The promising youngster started the season brightly for Arsenal but he will not be fit enough to feature on Saturday.

Club captain Granit Xhaka was booed off the pitch against Crystal Palace. The Swiss midfielder was left out of the EFL Cup tie in midweek, and it is unclear whether he will feature on Saturday.

Morgan Gibbs-White could return for Wolves following a back injury, but Willy Boly remains a long-term absentee.

Wolves were unbeaten against Arsenal last season. A 1-1 draw at the Emirates was followed by a 3-1 home victory at Molineux.

However, Arsenal have a far superior head-to-head record in this fixture, and the Gunners are likely to add to their win tally this time around.

Forebet predicts that Arsenal will grab all three points from what is set to be a tight match. Both teams to score looks likely.
