We have several fixtures to look forward to in the Bundesliga this weekend, one of which involves the defending champions Bayern Munich. The current title holders make the short trip to Augsburg where they take on their neighbours. Both teams will be happy with this match as it requires little travel after the international break.

Augsburg in the game down in 14th place with 5 points from seven games played. Prior to the international matches, they suffered a very poor defeat losing 5-1 away 2 Borussia Monchengladbach. Augsburg were 4-0 down before half time and the game was already out of reach.

It was their third Bundesliga game in a row without a win Having previously been held to a 1-1 draw at Freiburg and suffered a 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen. In fact, Augsburg have won only one match this season and that was a 2-1 home win against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Trends show Augsburg have lost seven of their last ten games and have won only one of their last twelve in all competitions. Eighteen of their last twenty-two matches in the Bundesliga have seen over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in fifteen of their last twenty games on home soil. In addition, Augsburg have lost four of their last eight matches by 3 goals or more.

Bayern Munich headed into their match against Hoffenheim full of confidence following their 7-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League. With the score level at half time, Hoffenheim opened the scoring early in the second half and despite conceding an equaliser went on to win the game 2-1 to the disappointment of the away fans.

It was the first defeat of the season for Bayern Munich and leaves them 2 points adrift of the leaders. Prior to the defeat, Bayern Munich had won five and drawn one of their six Bundesliga games, Including wins in each of their two previous games at home to Koln and away to Paderborn.

Trends show Bayern Munich are undefeated in twenty of their last twenty-two away matches in all competitions. They have won each of their last five away matches against Augsburg in all competitions and have not been beaten by Augsburg in their last nine meetings. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in thirteen of Bayern Munich's last seventeen away Bundesliga games.

Team news and Augsburg have doubts over five players including Andre Hahn, Daniel Baier, Marek Suchy, Carlos Gruezo and Felix Götze.  Marco Richter Should be fit to start the game.

Bayern Munich hope to have Serge Gnabry available following a muscle injury and we could see a return to the team for David Alaba and Leon Goretzka, who are the only other doubts for the visitors.

Despite their loss last time out, Bayern Munich come into this match as the heavy favourites to win. expect them to come away with maximum points in a game which could see over 2.5 goals scored.
