Wolverhampton Wanderers go in search of their first Premier League win of the season as they host Chelsea on Saturday.

Wolves are one of only two teams that have failed to register a victory so far but have only lost once after drawing their opening three matches.

The Black Country club has already played far more games than anyone else in the division this term, and their qualification matches for the UEFA Europa League appear to have had a negative impact on their top-flight performances.

Chelsea have enjoyed a mixed start under the guidance of Frank Lampard and their Premier League record stands at W1-D2-L1.

The Blues haven’t had a problem finding the back of the net but have conceded a whopping nine goals in their opening four matches, leaving them with an unhealthy goal difference of –3.

However, after losing to Manchester United on the opening day, Chelsea are unbeaten in their last three league games.

Lampard has shown huge faith in the club’s youngsters so far this season and they are repaying him with some eye-catching displays.

21-year-old Tammy Abraham has four goals in four league matches, and has scored at an average of 64 minutes per goal, while Mason Mount, 20, also has two goals to his name.

Chelsea have a lot of players missing with injuries at the moment and left-back Emerson is the most recent casualty after he limped off with a hamstring injury just eight minutes into Italy’s match with Finland.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, N’golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger and Pedro are all still sidelined.

As for Wolves, manager Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping that midfielder Leander Dendoncker returns home fit following an injury scare away on international duty with Belgium.

Wolves have virtually every member of their squad away somewhere in the international break, and Nuno won’t want any more injury worries ahead of the clash with Chelsea.

The overall head-to-head record is extremely tight between the two teams, and Chelsea just edge Wolves with 41 wins to 39.

However, Wolves took four points from a possible six off Chelsea last season and their record against the top six teams has been outstanding lately.

Despite Wolves recent success against the country’s top sides, Chelsea have beaten Wolves nine times since the turn of the millennium and Wolves have managed just two wins in that time.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score, and Chelsea will come away with the victory.
