Swedish Allsvenskan league leaders Malmo host Orebro on Saturday at the Malmo Stadion. The Sky Blues are four points ahead of second place Djurgaardens and will hope to continue their six-match home winning streak.

Orebro are 11th in the Allsvenskan table having secured 14 points from 39 possible. Axel Kjall’s team finished ninth a season ago and it looks likely that Orebro could fight relegation if their current form continues.

They have lost three of their last five matches in the league. Orebro have allowed 21 goals while tallying just 15. Last time out, they were defeated by Helsingborg 1-0 at home.

Malmo head into the weekend having conceded just nine goals in 14 matches. The Sky Blues have been very strong in defence and five of their last six league games have seen them keep a clean sheet.

The Sky Blues have not lost at home all season posting a phenomenal 19 goals scored and four conceded record. Malmo striker Markus Rosenberg has tallied seven goals this season. He has attributed for 28% of Malmo’s goalscoring.

Anders Christiansen, Marcus Antonsson, and Soeren Rieks have tallied four goals apiece for Malmo.

Orebro have been surprisingly good on the road. They have collected 10 points from 18 possible and their last three away matches have all ended in victory. Kjall’s team have outscored their last three opponents 6-2.

Players Filip Rogic, Carlos Strandberg, and Jake Larsson have all tallied four goals apiece for Orebro. Despite their three-match road winning streak, Orebro do need more scoring from their attacking players.

Malmo are unbeaten in 10 of their last 12 matches in all competitions against Orebro. The Sky Blues claimed seven victories during that time span dating back to 2012. Eight of those 12 matches finished with over 2.5 goals scored.

Last season, Malmo won both home and away fixtures against Orebro outscoring them 6-1. Both fixtures saw over 2.5 goals scored.

Malmo have seen seven of their league matches end in over 2.5 goals this term. Likewise, Orebro have had seven matches finish with over 2.5 goals going into the back of the nets.

Saturday’s game looks likely to be another Malmo-Orebro fixture to end with more than 2.5 goals scored. The Sky Blues are playing great football at home and will claim another victory in Allsvenskan play.

Uwe Rosler’s team will pick up big three points and continue their march toward the league title.
