Saturday’s Round-Up

Leicester and Chelsea both remain inside the top four following their entertaining draw at the King Power Stadium. Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger opened the scoring before goals from Harvey Barnes and Ben Chilwell gave the Foxes the lead. However, Rudiger’s second goal of the game rescued a point for the Blues.

Newcastle registered their third straight draw in all competitions as they were held to a goalless stalemate by bottom club Norwich City. Both sides had numerous chances, but neither team could find a winner.

Vicente Guaita’s own goal saw Sheff Utd claim all three points at Selhurst Park. The Eagles enjoyed the majority of the possession and created more goalscoring opportunities, but Chris Wilder’s men held on to seal the win.

Relegation rivals and West Ham and Brighton shared the spoils following a six-goal thriller. The Hammers were 3-1 up thanks to goals from Issa Diop and Robert Snodgrass (2). But after Angelo Ogbonna’s unfortunate own goal, Pascal Gross and Glenn Murray both got on the scoresheet for the Seagulls.

Another relegation battle between Bournemouth and Aston Villa saw the Cherries come out on top. Philip Billing and Nathan Ake gave Eddie Howe’s side a two-goal lead before half-time, but Jefferson Lerma was sent off just after the break. Mbwama Samatta scored his first Villa goal, but Dean Smith’s men failed to find an equaliser.

Everton came from behind to steal a dramatic late win at Vicarage Road. Goals from Adam Masina and Roberto Pereyra put Watford ahead before a first-half stoppage-time brace from Yerry Mina levelled the score. Fabian Delph saw red midway through the second half, while Theo Walcott netted a 90th minute winner for the Toffees.

Southampton kept Liverpool at bay for 45 minutes before the floodgates opened in the second half at Anfield. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jordan Henderson gave the Reds a two-goal lead before the hour mark before Mohamed Salah bagged a brace to complete the scoring.

Man Utd and Wolves met for the third time in less than a month and played out another dull goalless draw at Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes showed promise on his debut, but the home side never really threatened Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio.

Super Sunday

Arsenal were held to their fourth consecutive Premier League draw as they failed to find a way past Burnley. Both sides remain stuck in mid-table on 31 points.

Steven Bergwijn scored a fantastic debut volley to put Spurs ahead against Man City. Oleksandr Zinchenko was sent off moments earlier, while Son Heung-min scored Tottenham’s second to cap off an impressive win for Jose Mourinho’s side.
