Strasbourg picked up a much-needed win against Nantes in the opening match of Round 6. Kalifa Coulibaly gave the visitors the lead in the first half, but Dimitri Lienard pulled one back for the hosts before Ludovic Ajorque completed the comeback for Strasbourg with an 89th minute penalty.

    Saturday’s Round-Up

Both teams had a man sent off as Marseille and Montpellier drew 1-1. Montpellier only managed 2 shots while Marseille had 24, but it took until the 74th minute for Valere Germain to rescue a point for the hosts following a first-half own goal from Bouna Sarr.

Goals from Kasper Dolberg and Youcef Atal gave Nice a 2-1 win against Dijon while Bordeaux and Brest shared the points following an exciting 2-2 draw.

Despite numerous chances at both ends, Reims and Monaco finished goalless. There was a total of 28 shots between the two teams, but neither side could find the back of the net.

Goals either side of half time from Serhou Guirassy and Bakaye Dibassy earned Amiens a hard-fought victory at Metz. Habib Diallo pulled one back for the hosts but Amiens held on to clinch the win.

A first-half strike from Romain Philippoteaux was enough to see Nimes beat Toulouse. Despite having just 40% possession, Nimes managed 19 shots to Toulouse’s 9, and Bafode Diakite was sent off late on for the visitors.

    Super Sunday

Rennes continued their promising start the season by rescuing a point against Lille. Nanitamo Ikone gave Lille the lead just after half time, but Adrien Hunou scored to ensure the matched finished 1-1.

A Casimir Ninga hat-trick gave Angers a shock 4-1 win over St-Etienne. Arnau Nordin put the visitors in front before the break but Pierrick Cappelle equalized for Angers on 48 minutes. Ninga’s 3 goals in 11 minutes then capped off a fantastic victory for Angers.

In the final tie of the round, Neymar scored an 87th minute winner to give PSG a slender 1-0 win away at Lyon.
