Friday Night Football

In the opening match of Round 2, a last gasp Roberto Soriano header secured victory for Bologna over SPAL. The hosts had a whopping 23 shots throughout the match and finally found the winner in the 93rd minute.

Saturday’s Round-Up

AC Milan and Brescia kicked off Saturday’s Serie A action and Hakan Calhanoglu scored the only goal of the game after 12 minutes. Milan completely dominated the match and will be disappointed to have not scored more goals.

Goals from Danilo, Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo gave Juventus a 3-0 lead over Napoli but the visitors remarkably pulled it back to 3-3 in the second-half. However, there was still time for more drama as Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly turned into his own net to gift Juventus the victory.

Super Sunday

The Rome derby ended 1-1 as a second-half Luis Alberto strike canceled out Aleksandar Kolarov’s first-half penalty.

Romelu Lukaku scored the winner from the penalty spot as Inter beat Cagliari 2-1. Lautaro Martinez gave the visitors the lead before Joao Pedro equalized for the hosts.

A brace from Duvan Zapata wasn’t enough to help Atalanta win as Kevin Bonafazi, Alex Berenguer and Armando Izzo all scored to secure a 3-2 win for Torino.

Goals from Cristian Zapata and Christian Kouame helped Genoa to an impressive 2-1 victory over Fiorentina. Erick Pulgar scored a second-half penalty for the visitors but Genoa held on to claim all three points.

Despite having 22 shots, Udinese only managed to score once against Parma. Kevin Lasagna gave the hosts the lead on 17 minutes but goals from Gervinho, Riccardo Gagliolo and Roberto Inglese turned the match around and Parma ran away 3-1 winners.

A late Matteo Pessina strike saw Verona win away at Lecce while Sassuolo thrashed Sampdoria 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Domenico Berardi.
