Who Will Win the Club World Cup 2025? Forebet’s Prediction – Based on Our Mathematical Algorithm

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup promises to be a tournament of elite football and intense competition.

With 32 teams competing in the expanded format, the battle for supremacy is fiercer than ever.

Forebet’s mathematical algorithm has analysed the form, squad strength, historical trends, and team data to provide a comprehensive prediction for the tournament.

Here’s how the tournament is set to unfold.

Group Stage: European Strength on Display

In Group A, there is a high chance that Palmeiras and FC Porto take the top two positions, showcasing their continental pedigree. Inter Miami, despite boasting the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, won't live up to expectations.

The gulf in quality between MLS and top-tier European and South American sides will be exposed, highlighting the limitations of individual brilliance against cohesive, elite-level squads.

Group B sees Atletico Madrid top the group, with Paris Saint-Germain finishing second. PSG remain a strong side on paper, but questions may be asked whether or not the Parisians can continue the form they showed in the final stages of the Champions League.

In the end, there may be little competition between third-place Botafogo and fourth-placed Seattle Sounders in the Group stage. Again, this should prove the gulf in class between European sides and clubs from elsewhere.

Group C is another stronghold for Europe. Bayern Munich and Benfica - the main favoruites to progress, eliminating Boca Juniors and the Seattle Sounders. Bayern’s depth and consistency make them early favourites.

However, Benfica’s progression to the round of 16 might be thanks to head-to-head, as Boca Juniors crash out by the slimmest of margins.

In Group D, Chelsea tops what could be the weakest group in the tournament, joined by Flamengo in second place. Tunisia’s Esperance ST and Los Angeles FC could be overmatched despite their domestic success. European clubs will again come out on top.

It is high likely that Group E marks a successful start for new Inter Milan boss Christian Chivu. Inter has a high probability to win the group with three wins, while River Plate join them in the knockouts.

Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds and CF Monterrey are bound to struggle with the competition, as neither team are able to get much of a foothold in the group stage.

Group F sees Borussia Dortmund and Fluminense advance in a highly competitive section. Meanwhile, for South Africa’s Sundowns and Korea’s Ulsan Hyundai, the predictions is that they gather just one point each.

In Group G, Juventus and a revamped Manchester City comfortably reach the next phase. Al Ain and Wydad Casablanca should also struggle in the group stage, failing to have an impact on the European giants.

Finally, Real Madrid and RB Salzburg are predicted to progress from Group H, edging out Al Hilal on goal difference. The Saudi club might put in a strong performance but ultimately come up just short.

    Knockout Drama: Big Names Advance

In the round of 16, Palmeiras and Fluminense fall to narrow defeats to PSG and Inter respectively, ending their promising runs. Atletico Madrid may need extra time or penalties to see off FC Porto in one of the round’s tightest ties.

Perhaps the biggest game of the round of 16 is destined to be Real Madrid and Manchester City. We saw these clubs play some amazing Champions League knockout ties in recent seasons.

We could be in store for another great fixture. In this game, our prediction is for Madrid to come out with a win.

    The quarterfinals will feature heavyweights

The quarterfinals probably will feature some amazing fixtures between some of the world’s biggest football clubs: Bayern Munich versus PSG, Inter Milan versus Juventus, Chelsea versus Atletico Madrid, and Borussia Dortmund versus Real Madrid – a repeat of the 2024 Champions League final.

Bayern are going to outclass PSG, ending Luis Enrique’s quest for another trophy in 2024-25. Inter and Juventus showcase a clash in a fiery Derby d’Italia, with Juventus edging through against the beaten Champions League final.

Chelsea’s balance and depth should help them past Atletico. Cole Palmer could once again rise to the occasion, like he did in the Conference League final against Real Betis to see Chelsea into the final four..

Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s knockout experience is predicted to prove decisive against Dortmund. Brand-new coach Xabi Alonso will take one step closer to a first final with Madrid.

    Semifinals and Final: Madrid’s Moment

Bayern Munich meets Juventus in the semis, while Chelsea face Real Madrid. According to our algorithm, Bayern most probably progress to the final with a win in extra time or on penalties after a draw in regular time.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid eliminate Chelsea in a closely contested match by a margin of two goals. Los Blancos, who have won this competition five times previously, will rebound after a trophy-less domestic and European campaign.

The final must be a tactical showdown between two European powerhouses. Xabi Alonso, in his first season managing Real Madrid, will lead Los Blancos to a sixth Club World Cup title.

Real Madrid’s blend of experience, and tournament pedigree will carry them to glory.

Forebet Prediction: Real Madrid to Win the Club World Cup 2025.
