5 big transfers that could happen before the summer window closes
1779

We have already seen multiple high-profile transfers this summer. Jude Bellingham has joined Real Madrid, Declan Rice has moved to Arsenal and Harry Kane has swapped Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich.

We have also seen big-name players like Neymar, Riyad Mahrez and Karim Benzema join the Saudi Arabia revolution, while Chelsea have signed Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and many others.

However, there is still plenty of time for more big transfers to be agreed. With the summer window closing on Friday, September 1, here are five transfers that could happen in the coming days.

Mohamed Salah to Al-Ittihad

It has been reported that Saudi club Al-Ittihad are ready to bid $162m (£129m) for Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. However, the Reds have insisted that Salah is not for sale this summer.

Al-Ittihad have already signed Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Liverpool this summer, in addition to Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante. Still, they are keen to add another high-profile name to their squad.

Ansu Fati to Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly considering a loan move for Barcelona's young sensation, Ansu Fati, in a bid to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.

With Spurs's forward line seeking an injection of fresh impetus,  Fati's loan move could provide the Spanish prodigy with a chance to adapt to new challenges and regain his form before the injury.

Brennan Johnson to Tottenham Hotspur

Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson has been attracting attention from numerous Premier League clubs in recent times. Chelsea were reportedly interested in the Welshman, but Spurs have now emerged as frontrunners.

Johnson enjoyed an impressive debut top-flight campaign last term, racking up eight goals and three assists in the league in 2022-23. A move to a club top could see him unlock his true potential.

Scott McTominay to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich are on the lookout for a midfielder, with Scott McTominay being touted as a potential target. According to reports, the 26-year-old could be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

The out-of-favour Scotland international has made just two substitute appearances this season, amassing a grand total of seven minutes on the pitch. Could he join Kane in Bavaria?

Emile Smith Rowe to Chelsea

With the likes of Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Fabio Vieira ahead of him in the pecking order, Emile Smith Rowe could leave Arsenal before the window closes.

Smith Rowe made just 12 Premier League appearances last season and has remained an unused substitute this term. Despite the number of arrivals at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea could add the 23-year-old to their ranks.
