Celtic set to continue stellar form at Hearts

On Wednesday night, SPL leaders Celtic visit Hearts’ Tynecastle Stadium, as the Hoops look to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish top-flight table.

Hearts are currently fifth place in the table, two points behind fourth-place Kilmarnock. The Jambos recent league form has been inconsistent, as they have won just two of their last six SPL outings. They have also failed to win in three league matches.

The home sides recent league encounters have been relatively low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last nine SPL matches.

Hearts FC recent home form in the Scottish top-flight has been a mixed bag. However, the team from the capital have suffered just one defeat in their last six league matches at Tynecastle.

Their recent home games in the SPL have been low scoring, with five of their last six league matches on home soil producing under 2.5 goals. A big factor in those recent low scoring games is that Craig Levein’s side has kept clean sheets in four of their last six home matches in the Scottish top-flight.

Celtic heads into this game on the back of seven straight league wins that has seen Brendan Rodgers team move eight points clear at the top of the SPL. A 4-1 home win over Motherwell last time out means that the visitors have also scored at least twice in six of their last seven league matches.

Although the reigning champion’s away form has been slightly inconsistent in recent months in the SPL, the Hoops have won three of their last four matches on their travels in the league. Their recent away matches in the SPL have been low scoring, with five of their last six away matches producing under 2.5 goals.

Forebet predicts that Celtic’s recent good run of league form will continue, with the visitors recording a victory in a low scoring encounter.
