On Sunday morning, Atletico Madrid hosts Levante at the Wanda Metropolitano, as the home side looks to close the gap temporarily on leaders Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid are currently second place in La Liga, trailing Barcelona by five points, despite a 15-match unbeaten run in the Spanish top-flight.

The home side’s problem in that undefeated run is drawing too many games, as seven of their 15 matches ended all square. Last time out the team from the capital drew once again, drawing 1-1 at fellow high-fliers Sevilla.

Atlético Madrid’s recent league outings have been relatively low scoring in La Liga, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six matches in the Spanish top-flight.

The men from Madrid have been in good form at the Wanda Metropolitano in La Liga of late, as they are unbeaten in ten games having recorded seven wins. Diego Simeone’s side has also won six of their last seven home games in the Spanish top-flight.

Atletico have been solid at the back in recent home matches, keeping clean sheets in five of their last seven games in La Liga.

Levante are currently mid-table in the Spanish top-flight after a mixed campaign so far this season. However, the visitor's form in La Liga has dipped of late, with just one win from their last eight matches. They have also failed to win in four games in La Liga.

The Valencia-based outfit has certainly offered value for money when it comes to goals of late, as their last seven La Liga outings have produced over 2.5 goals.

Levante have failed to win in four games in La Liga, although three of those four winless games have finished in draws. Both teams have also scored in the visitors last five away matches in the Spanish top-flight.

Forebet predicts that Atletico Madrid will record a victory in a high scoring game to keep themselves in touch with reigning champions Barcelona.
