Tottenham to continue resurgence

Big questions were asked of Tottenham when Mauricio Pochettino’s side were defeated by Chelsea and drew at home against Burnley. However, two consecutive wins in the Premier League in the Champions League against Everton and Dortmund have lifted the mood around the north London club.

On Saturday evening, Spurs will look to continue their recent resurgence when they host Swansea at Wembley in the Premier League. Last time out Pochettino’s team defeated Dortmund 3-1 in the Champions League at Wembley.

Spurs also recorded a 3-0 victory at Everton last time out in the Premier League. England striker Harry Kane has hit top form of late, scoring four times in those recent victories.

The home side have a decent recent record in the Premier League, having recorded wins in five of their last seven outings in the English top-flight. Spurs also have a very good recent home record winning 14 of their last 16 Premier League home games.

However, the north London side have failed to win at home in the league this season and all 14 of those home wins came at White Hart Lane. The win at Wembley against Dortmund will do a lot to lift the notion that there is some sort of curse for Spurs at the national stadium.

Swansea have endured mixed fortunes in the Premier League this season, but the Swans have won just one of their four games in the top-flight so far this season.

Paul Clement’s side does have a decent away record in the top-flight, though, as they are unbeaten in four away games, winning twice and recording two draws. The Welsh side’s recent away games have been low scoring in the Premier League, with under 2.5 goals scored in their last seven away games.

With Spurs in good goal scoring form, that trend could change on Saturday and Forebet predicts that the north London club will end the Swans recent unbeaten away record.
