Fantasy Premier League Picks – Gameweek 37+
4788

We are about to enter the penultimate FPL round of the 2019/20 season, meaning every transfer you make from now until the end of the campaign is vital. There are still plenty of points up for grabs, so why not check out this week’s top fantasy picks below?

Don’t forget, Gameweek 37+ deadline ends at 16:30 (BST) on Saturday, July 18. make sure you’ve completed your transfers one hour before Norwich City and Burnley kickoff at Carrow Road.

Goalkeeper

Rui Patricio – Wolverhampton Wanderers

It’s fair to say that Wolves haven’t been at their best since the restart. But if it wasn’t for the heroics of Rui Patricio, the team would almost certainly be in a worse position. The Portuguese has kept four clean sheets in seven games since the restart, and he’ll be confident of producing another shutout against off-form Crystal Palace.

Defenders

Cesar Azpilicueta – Chelsea

Frank Lampard likes to chop and change his starting XI, but Cesar Azpilicueta has been a mainstay in Chelsea’s backline for much of the season. The versatile defender has featured in all but two of the Blues’ Premier League games this season and has played every minute of the previous 22.

John Egan – Sheffield United

It seems as though John Egan has discovered his scoring boots. The Sheffield United defender hadn’t scored all season, but he recently netted in back-to-back games. The Blades still boast one of the toughest defensive records in the division, making Egan a great value pick.

Midfielders

Christian Pulisic - Chelsea

Christian Pulisic is another player who seems to have avoided Lampard’s rotation recently. The USA international has been on fire since the resumption, racking up three goals and three assists in his last seven appearances. In that kind of form, you’d be foolish to leave him out!

Son Heung-min – Tottenham Hotspur

You can’t always guarantee how Spurs will fare from game to game. However, what you can guarantee is that Son will always give 110%. The speedy South Korean has two goals and three assists to his name this side of the lay-off, taking his season’s overall tally to 11 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League. An admirable return.

Forwards

Chris Wood – Burnley

Burnley missed Chris Wood when he was sidelined recently. Thankfully for Burnley, fellow forward Jay Rodriguez has been in decent form. But there is no denying that Wood is the Clarets’ most lethal striker. He scored his first goal since the restart against Wolves last time out, and he’ll hoping to build on that against lowly Norwich this weekend.

Gabriel Jesus – Manchester City

Gabriel Jesus is enjoying his finest goalscoring season to date for Manchester City, and the Brazilian has now scored in three consecutive top-flight games. With two assists during that period, too, Jesus is on the division’s in-form forwards. With relegation-threatened Watford up next, you’d expect him to add to his tally.
