Fantasy Premier League Picks – Gameweek 34+
5111

There are five full rounds of fixtures remaining in the 2019/20 Premier League season, so there is still plenty of time to add to your Fantasy Football points tally and move up the rankings.

It is important to remember that the FPL Gameweek 34+ deadline ends at 17:00 (BST) on July 7, so make sure you get your transfers done at least one hour before Tuesday’s games kick off.

Below is a list of in-form players who are set to shine in Gameweek 34+. Let’s get stuck into this week’s top FPL picks.

Goalkeeper

Alex McCarthy – Southampton

Nobody could’ve predicted that Alex McCarthy would keep a clean sheet against Manchester City last time out, but that’s exactly what happened! The Southampton goalkeeper made a series of impressive saves to deny Man City’s relentless forwards, so he’ll head into Gameweek 34 full of confidence.

Defenders

Cesar Azpilicueta – Chelsea

Frank Lampard likes to chop and change his side, but Cesar Azpilicueta has been almost ever-present for Chelsea this season. The Spaniard has three assists in four games since the restart and picked up a clean sheet in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Watford at the weekend. With off-form Crystal Palace up next, Azpilicueta could prove to be an excellent pick this week.

John Egan – Sheffield United

John Egan netted his first Premier League goal for Sheffield United to rescue a point for his side against Burnley on Sunday. You wouldn’t generally associate the Blades with goals. But given their impressive defensive record, it’s always worth having a Sheff Utd defender in your team.

Midfielders

Tomas Soucek – West Ham United

Tomas Soucek has made a real impression since arriving at West Ham in January. The Czech Republic international has now scored in back-to-back games and has already become one of the first names on David Moyes’ team sheet. The Hammers have taken four points from a possible six, and Soucek has played a pivotal role in the team’s revival.

Bukayo Saka – Arsenal

Bukayo Saka enhanced his reputation by scoring his first league goal for Arsenal in an impressive 2-0 win over Wolves last time out. The highly-rated youngster also has three assists in his previous seven Premier League outings. A versatile player, Saka is capable of attacking and defending with great competence.

Forwards

Mason Greenwood – Manchester United

There is no stopping Mason Greenwood right now! The teenage sensation has three goals and an assist in the last two appearances and has helped Manchester United to win three games in a row. The Red Devils travel to struggling Aston Villa next, so Greenwood will be confident of adding to his tally this week.

Dwight Gayle – Newcastle United

Having not scored a Premier League goal all season, Dwight Gayle now has two goals and an assist to his name in the past three games. Newcastle have returned from the lay-off in excellent form, winning two and drawing two of their four league games since the restart. Gayle is one of the division’s in-form strikers.
