Two teams at opposite ends of the Serie A table will lock horns on Sunday, with both sides needing points for very different reasons.

The hosts, Udinese, find themselves just two points clear of the relegation zone, while Roma sit three points outside the top four with seven matches remaining.

The probability of another positive result for Roma is high, but Udinese are fighting for their lives. Continue reading to discover what Forebet’s algorithm predicts for Sunday’s clash.

Udinese suffered a 2-1 defeat to league leaders Inter Milan last time out, facing a barrage of 23 shots while managing a solitary attempt on target.

The Little Zebras have taken just one point from their last three matches, with a single victory coming in their previous seven league encounters.

To make matters worse for Udinese, they have only managed to win two of their last 13 Serie A games, recording five draws and six defeats in that sequence.

Not only have Udinese failed to win any of their last seven home league games, but they have also failed to win 15 of their 16 home league games this season.

As for Roma, they head into Sunday’s clash on the back of a 1-0 victory over AC Milan in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final.

Thanks to Thursday’s triumph, the club from the capital have lost just one of their last 12 matches across all competitions, picking up eight wins and three draws along the way.

Roma are also unbeaten in seven Serie A games, having claimed five wins and two draws since their last loss, with a solitary defeat coming in their previous 11 outings.

With three wins and two draws coming in their last five away league games, Daniele De Rossi’s men will be confident of securing another positive result on Sunday.

Head-to-head: Roma won the reverse fixture 3-1 back in November, meaning they have won five of their last seven Serie A encounters with Udinese.

The H2H stats also show that Roma have lost just two of their previous 10 league meetings with the Little Zebras, who triumphed 4-0 on home soil in 2022.

Team news: Udinese’s Gerard Deulofeu and Enzo Ebosse are both sidelined with knee injuries, while Florian Thauvin is absent due to a thigh issue.

Roma also have three players sidelined through injury, with Sardar Azmoun, Dean Huijsen and Rasmus Kristensen expected to miss Sunday’s showdown.

Given that Udinese have tasted victory once on home soil all season, Roma shouldn’t struggle to extend their unbeaten run this weekend.

Forebet’s predictive analytics model expects both teams to score. However, Roma should have enough firepower to outscore Udinese.
