The Premier League is back this weekend after the international break and Forebet is here to put together all the football predictions from the latest data, analysis and mathematics across England’s top flight.

Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion are battling this weekend as part of a massive showdown in the Premier League that also sees Manchester City and Arsenal play with one another, and this also means that Liverpool can end the week top of the Premier League.

To get back to the summit of the division, they will need to hope that Arsenal don't win their match with the champions City.

Liverpool can see City beat the Gunners and still be top of the table, just as long as they also defeat Brighton, as Jurgen Klopp's men are a point clear of Pep Guardiola's side.

They are, however, adrift of Arsenal on goals difference, so they must better the result of them.

Liverpool will also have the bit between their teeth in this one after the brutal loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-finals just before the international break.

The Reds took the lead on two occasions in that game before losing 4-3 with a finish from United in the dying seconds of the tie.

Nevertheless, with the EFL Cup already on the bag after beating Chelsea, Liverpool are into the quaeter-finals of the Europa League where they will meet with Atalanta in two weeks time.

This comes after a record-breaking 11-2 victory over Sparta Prague across two legs, as they managed to draw with City themselves in the Premier League's last set of fixtures.

Indeed, there has been an international break, but the loss to United and draw with City mean the last time Liverpool won on the domestic front was in the away victory at Nottingham Forest that saw Darwin Nunez score with basically the final kick of the match.

As for Brighton, they come into this one with still some hope of a spot in the Europa League with them only behind United in sixth by six points.

The club also head into this one with 44 goals let in and 50 scored, but with 12 wins from 28 games and 11 losses, they are significantly worse off than last season at this point in the campaign.

Forebet predicts a win for Liverpool in this game and for the match to see over 2.5 goals.
