Strasbourg have a tricky test on their hands as they attempt to prevent the perennial Ligue 1 champions from picking up another positive result on the road.

On Friday evening, Le Racing welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Stade de la Meinau, with Luis Enrique’s side hoping for a 17th consecutive away league game without defeat.

That said, the hosts boast an impressive unbeaten run of their own, so keep reading to discover what Forebet’s algorithm predicts for Friday’s showdown.

Strasbourg played out a 1-1 draw with Clermont Foot last time out, recording their second consecutive 1-1 draw in Ligue 1.

That draw extended Le Racing’s unbeaten run to six matches in the league, with a solitary defeat coming in their previous 10 encounters.

When you look at the bigger picture, Strasbourg have won five of their last seven games across all competitions, losing just one of their previous 12.

However, trends show that both teams have scored in each of Strasbourg’s past eight league matches, meaning the probability of both teams finding the back of the net on Friday is high.

As for Paris Saint-Germain, they threw away a 2-0 lead against Brest on Sunday, conceding a couple of second-half goals to hand their visitors a point.

Still, the defending champions have lost only one of their 19 Ligue 1 clashes this season, picking up 13 wins and five draws along the way.

It is also worth noting that PSG have avoided defeat in each of their last 16 away league outings, taking 21 points from a possible 27 on the road this term.

On top of that, the statistics show that Enrique’s side have not trailed at half time in any of their previous 24 matches in Ligue 1.

Head-to-head: Paris Saint-Germain have avoided defeat in each of their last 11 league meetings with Strasbourg, winning seven and drawing four.

However, both teams have scored in nine of the previous 12 encounters, which should give Strasbourg confidence ahead of Friday’s clash.

Team news: Strasbourg have Ismael Doukoure, Karol Fila, Kevin Gameiro and Lebo Mothiba sidelined through injury, while Saidou Sow is representing Guinea at the Africa Cup of Nations.

PSG also have AFCON and Asian Cup representatives, with Achraf Hakimi and Lee Kang-In absent. Plus, Presnel Kimpembe, Layvin Kurzawa, Nuno Mendes and Milan Skriniar are injured.

Although Strasbourg are enjoying an impressive hot streak at the moment, it is difficult to ignore PSG’s unbeaten run away from home.

Forebet’s predictive analytics model expects both teams to score on Friday. Still, PSG look set to claim all three points.
