One of the top matches in La Liga this weekend sees Valencia travel to the Spanish capital to take on Real Madrid.

The game will be played on the 11th of November at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu and the hosts are currently 2nd in La Liga on 29 points while the visitors are in 8th place on 18 points.

Real Madrid come into the game on the back of a 3-0 home win over Sporting Braga at home in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Sporting Braga missed a penalty early in the match and Real Madrid responded by opening the scoring in the 27th minute.

Real Madrid doubled their lead in the 58th minute and secured maximum points with a third goal 3 minutes later.

The win over Sporting Braga means Real Madrid are undefeated in their last 9 fixtures in all competitions.

They have won 3 of their last 4 matches, with the additional victories coming over Barcelona away in La Liga and Sporting Braga away in the Champions League.

Trends show Real Madrid are undefeated in 14 of their last 15 La Liga matches. They are undefeated in their 10 most recent home La Liga games and have won 8 of those matches.

Real Madrid have scored 2 or more goals in 10 of their last 13 La Liga games on home soil.

Valencia make the trip to the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu having beat Granada 1-0 at home in La Liga last weekend.

With time running out in the first half, Valencia converted from the penalty spot to take the lead. There were no further goals in the second half.

The win over Granada means Valencia are undefeated in their last 5 fixtures in all competitions. There have been wins over Cadiz at home in La Liga and at UD Logroñés in the first round of the Copa Del Rey.

Valencia have also picked up 2 points in the league thanks to draws at Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao.

Valencia are undefeated in 3 of their last 4 away league matches. However, all 3 of those undefeated games were draws and they have been struggling to win matches on the road in the league.

In fact, Valencia have won only 1 of their last 8 away La Liga fixtures and have seen both teams score in 3 of their last 4 away trips.

Looking ahead to the team news and Real Madrid are without suspended defender Antonio Rüdiger.

Aurelien Tchouameni, Éder Militão, and Thibaut Courtois are in the treatment room plus there are doubts over the fitness of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Daniel Ceballos.

Valencia travel without the injured duo of André Almeida and Mouctar Diakhaby. Jesús Vázquez and Alberto Mari are both doubts.

Valencia have built up some confidence in recent weeks but a trip to the Bernabéu is not easy at the best of times.

Valencia could score in this game but we expect Real Madrid to have too much in attack for the visitors, with the hosts taking maximum points.
