Fantasy Premier League Double Gameweek 7 – Best Players, Fixtures and More
2946

The first Double Gameweek is here and Fantasy Premier League managers are gearing up their teams. Luton and Burnley will play twice but there are some debates whether you should own a player or two from these teams.

So, let's have a closer look at the standout performers, the hidden gems, and the tactical maneuvers that can set your FPL team on a course for victory in this gameweek.

Goalkeeper

Alphonse Areola (West Ham) once more proves that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the game and with low-scoring Sheffield United ahead, there is maybe no better option this week. Nick Pope (Newcastle) is one of the candidates from this Newcastle defence as he is pretty much nailed every game.

Neto (Bournemouth) offers a solid rotation in the next gameweeks with Areola and he is gaining much of his points from saves, although the Cherries defence is not the best to target in FPL.

Defenders

Now it is the time to double up on the Newcastle defence and after the haul from Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) with hat-trick from assists, he is regaining the glory from last season. Sven Botman (Newcastle) and Dan Burn also scored a goal and remain cheap option in Eddie Howe’s line-up.

Matty Cash (Aston Villa) and Pervis Estupinan (Brighton) meet head-to-head and may not register clean sheets but their attacking potential is really high up to now. Kurt Zouma (West Ham) and William Saliba (Arsenal) offer a good attacking threat from set-pieces and their fixtures this round look fantastic.

If you are looking to play a DGW player, Issa Kabore (Luton) and Charley Taylor (Burnley) are budget-friendly assets with potential for an attacking returns.

Midfielders

There is a big question mark over the fitness of Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) and James Maddison (Tottenham) as both can be potentially injured for DGW7! The best replacements for one of them are the reborn Heung-Min Son (Tottenham) and Klopp’s talisman- Mohamed Salah (Liverpool).

Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) and Karou Mitoma (Brighton) scored double digits the previous round but they remain a rotation risk. You simply can not overlook the West Ham midfielders- James Ward-Prose and Jarrod Bowen with a perfect fixture to gain some attacking points.

Moussa Diaby (Aston Villa) blanked for the second time but is still the Villa asset to own long term.

Forwards

Carlton Morris (Luton Town) will be the man to transfer in this Double Gameweek as he is on penalties and scored almost every goal for this shaky Luton side. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) is inevitable and once again gets the armband.

However, it will be interesting to see if Pepp Roulette’s strikes once again for either Julian Alvarez (Manchester City) or the Premier League current goalscorer. Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) has registered points in 5 of his last 6 league games and his one of the reliable FPL assets to own.

Looks like Callum Wilson (Newcastle) is the first choice striker for the Magpies in Engalnd’s top tier while his Champions League minutes will be heavily reduced.

With these players in mind, you can strategically craft your FPL squad for the upcoming round. Consider their recent form, roles within their teams and fixture conditions to optimize your selections. The DEADLINE is Saturday at 11:30 UK Time, so be ready!
