The final round of fixtures in the 2020/21 English Premier League season will be played on Sunday the 23rd of May. One of the games takes place at Molineux Stadium as Wolverhampton Wanderers meet Manchester United.

The hosts begin the weekend in 12th place at 45 points while the visitors are in second place on 71 points.

Wolves come into the match having suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at Everton in mid-week. It was another disappointing performance by Wolverhampton and that result means they have picked up just a single victory from their last 5 Premier League games.

The victory came at home against Brighton but there have been defeats at home against Burnley plus away at Tottenham Hotspur.

Home form has been inconsistent and Wolves have won 4, drawn 2, and lost 5 of their 11 most recent home Premier League fixtures.

Conceding goals has been a problem in recent home matches and Wolves have kept just one clean sheet in their last 5 home Premier League games. They conceded 3 goals against West Ham United and  4 goals against Burnley, that latter of which ended in a 4-0 loss.

However, Wolves do usually manage to score when playing at home and they have found the back of the net at least once in 9 of their last 12 league games on home soil.

Manchester united make the trip to Molineux Stadium having been held to a 1-1 draw at home by relegated Fulham in mid-week. It was a poor performance and result from the Red Devils as they look to find some from ahead of the Europa League final next week.

Having taken the lead thanks to a tremendous Edinson Cavani finish, Manchester United could not get the second goal and were punished by Fulham in the second half.

That result means Manchester United have failed to win any of their last 3 Premier League games. In addition to the draw against Fulham, there have been defeats at home against Leicester City and Liverpool.

However, Manchester United continue to be difficult to beat when playing away from home in the Premier League and they are undefeated in their last 25 matches on the road.

They have managed to keep a clean sheet in 4 of their last 6 away league fixtures and have scored 2 or more goals in 3 of their last 4 away games.

Team news and Wolverhampton Wanderers continue without the injured Raúl Jiménez, Pedro Neto, Jonny, Daniel Podence, and Owen Otasowie.

Manchester United will be without central defender Harry Maguire plus they have doubts over the fitness of Anthony Martial, Daniel James, Scott McTominay, and Fred. There is possibility Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will field an entire second-string XI for this match.

Even with an under-strength team, Manchester United could come away from this game with maximum points. They have been excellent away from home this season and could take 3 points plus keep a clean sheet.
