Having clinched the Serie A title, Inter Milan welcome Roma to San Siro on Wednesday, aiming to finish the season a high.

Antonio Conte’s side hold an unassailable 13-point lead over second-place Atalanta, while they also boast the best defensive record in the division.

Meanwhile, Roma find themselves down in seventh – 12 points outside the top four and a whopping 27 points behind Inter.

Inter head into Wednesday’s clash on a remarkable 19-match unbeaten streak in Serie A, having clinched 15 wins and four draws along the way.

In fact, Inter Milano have only lost one of their previous 31 league games and have suffered just two defeats in 35 outings this season.

Conte’s men secured an emphatic 5-1 victory over Sampdoria last time out, with Alexis Sanchez bagging a brace.

Still, Romelu Lukaku remains the club’s top scorer this term, with 21 goals and nine assists in 33 Serie A games.

On the other hand, Roma have lost each of their last three away games and have only won one of their previous nine road trips in Serie A.

However, the club from the capital managed to end a four-match winless run (one draw, three defeats) on Sunday.

Borja Mayoral and Lorenzo Pellegrini both scored twice, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan also got on the scoresheet.

AS Roma crashed out of the Europa League semi-finals last week, suffering a hefty 8-5 aggregate loss at the hands of Manchester United.

With Jose Mourinho replacing Paulo Fonseca in the Stadio Olimpico hot seat at the end of the season, Roma’s players are already fighting for a place in Mourinho’s side.

Head-to-head: Remarkably, each of the last six meetings between Inter and Roma have ended in a draw, with only one match finishing goalless.

Inter claimed the last victory in this fixture back in 2017. Since then, the two sides have produced three 2-2 draws, two 1-1 draws and one goalless encounter.

Team news: Inter Milan currently have two players sidelined through injury – left-back Aleksandar Kolarov and midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Meanwhile, Roma could be without as many as ten first-team players on Wednesday. Chris Smalling is the latest casualty to join the club’s lengthy injury list.

Inter and Roma have produced multiple draws in recent years, but Inter are lucky to buck that trend and claim all three points this time around.

Forebet predicts that Inter will score over 2.5 goals en route to beating Roma for the first time since 2017.
