West Bromwich Albion will be aiming to keep their faint survival hopes alive when Wolverhampton Wanderers visit the Hawthorns on Monday night.
The Baggies currently sit second from bottom in the Premier League table – two points behind Fulham and nine points from safety.
Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santos’ side find themselves twelfth in the standings – 16 points ahead of West Brom.
West Brom have only lost one of their last four matches, picking up two wins and one draw during that period.
But despite winning three of their previous eight games, including a 5-2 thrashing of Chelsea, it feels like a case of too little too late for Sam Allardyce’s men.
The Baggies came from behind to lead 2-1 against Aston Villa last time out. However, they ended up conceding a 92nd-minute equaliser.
With just five games remaining this season, West Bromwich can’t afford to lose on Monday, having won just three of their 33 league games this term.
On the other hand, Wolves have only managed to win two of their previous eight outings, recording two draws and four defeats in that time.
Following back-to-back losses to Liverpool and West Ham, Wolverhampton sealed two straight victories over Fulham and Sheffield United.
However, Nuno’s side returned to losing ways last time out, suffering a damaging 4-0 defeat to Burnley on home soil.
The Wanderers were 3-0 down at half-time following a Chris Wood hat-trick, before Ashley Westwood completed the rout late on.
Looking at the bigger picture, Wolves have lost four of their previous seven matches, conceding over 2.5 goals on three occasions.
Head-to-head: West Brom clinched a 3-2 victory over Wolves back in January, with Matheus Pereira netting a brace.
In fact, West Brom have secured three consecutive wins against Wolves, scoring at least two goals on each occasion.
Team news: West Brom only have one injury absentee at the moment, with Branislav Ivanovic currently on the sidelines.
On the flip side, Wolves will be without Jonny, Pedro Neto, Fernando Marcal and Raul Jimenez on Monday.
West Brom are fighting for their lives at the moment, but Wolves should have enough quality to overcome their rivals.
Forebet predicts that Wolves will keep a clean sheet on their way to overcoming West Brom on Monday.
