Leicester City and Liverpool will kick off the Premier League’s weekend action with a tasty top-four clash at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The Foxes currently sit third in the table – two points behind second-place Manchester United and three points ahead of fourth-place Liverpool.

Let’s not forget that Liverpool crushed Leicester 3-0 at Anfield back in November, although a lot has changed since then.

Leicester have only lost one of their last ten Premier League games, picking up five wins and four draws since late December.

The Foxes claimed notable victories over top-four rivals Tottenham and Chelsea during that period, with their sole defeat coming to Leeds at the end of the January.

Last time out, Brendan Rodgers’ men booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals with a last-gasp 1-0 win over Brighton on Wednesday.

That win means that Leicester have now kept a clean sheet in each of their previous three outings in all competitions.

Better still, the Foxes have only suffered one defeat in their last 13 games in all competitions, and they remain in the Europa League.

By contrast, Liverpool are enduring a tricky period at the moment. The Reds now sit ten points behind league-leaders Manchester City, with hopes of defending their title diminishing.

Following December's 7-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace, Jurgen Klopp’s side have only managed to win two of their last nine league games.

Liverpool were beaten by Southampton, Burnley and Brighton, before suffering a humiliating 1-4 loss at the hands of Man City last weekend.

Goalkeeper Alisson made a couple of high-profile blunders to effectively gift Man City two goals, while the team lacked a cutting edge in attack.

However, a team of Liverpool’s ability doesn’t simply become bad overnight. With that in mind, you’d be foolish to write them off this weekend.

Head-to-head: Liverpool are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Leicester in all competitions, picking up six wins and one draw since 2017.

It is also worth noting that the last two matches between these teams have seen the Reds rack up an aggregate scoreline of 7-0.

Team news: Dennis Praet, Wesley Fofana, Timothy Castagne, James Justin and Wes Morgan are all currently sideline through injury for Leicester.

Liverpool remain without long-term absentees Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Diogo Jota, Joel Matip and Naby Keita.

We all know that Jurgen Klopp’s men are enduring a below-par run at the moment, but they could easily find their feet again with a positive result on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that Liverpool will score over 2.5 goals on their way to victory over Leicester.
