There is a full round of fixtures in Serie A this weekend, but the tie of the round has to be between Lazio and Juventus at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

With six games played, Lazio find themselves in tenth place with ten points, while third-place Juventus sit on 12 points.

It's fair to say that Lazio have been pretty inconsistent so far this season. The Eagles only managed to win one of their opening four games but head into this clash on the back of two straight victories.

After beating Bologna 2-1 on Matchday 5, Lazio secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Torino last weekend, scoring two stoppage-time goals to come from behind and win.

Unsurprisingly, Ciro Immobile was on the scoresheet last weekend. Last season’s Serie A Golden Boot winner already has four goals in six appearances this term.

Simone Inzaghi’s side are unbeaten in the Champions League this season, with one win and two draws putting them second in Group F, one point behind Borussia Dortmund.

Lazio can also take confidence from the fact that they have only lost three of their previous 20 home games in Serie A.

Meanwhile, Juventus are unbeaten in Serie A this term, having picked up three wins and three draws from their opening six games.

Having said that, Andrea Pirlo’s men are yet to claim back-to-back domestic victories, so the new head coach will be eager to buck that trend on Sunday.

But following a 4-1 victory over Spezia last weekend, Juventus beat Ferencvaros by the same scoreline in the Champions League in midweek.

Alvaro Morata netted a brace on Wednesday, taking his tally to six goals in seven games in all competitions this season.

Looking at the bigger picture, Juventus have lost just seven of their previous 44 matches in Serie A, so Lazio will have their work cut out this weekend.

Head-to-head: Lazio and Juventus claimed one victory each in this fixture last season, with both sides winning at home.

However, Juventus have won four of their previous six meetings with Lazio, scoring over 1.5 goals on three occasions.

Team news: Lazio could be without as many as seven first-team players on Sunday, with key man Luis Alberto among the possible absentees.Injured trio Matthijs de Ligt, Alex Sando and Aaron Ramsey look set to miss out for Juventus, although Cristiano Ronaldo is back following a period of self-isolation.

Lazio have started the season in unconvincing fashion, while Juventus remain unbeaten in Serie A this term. All the signs are pointing towards an away win here.

Forebet predicts that Juventus will score over 2.5 goals on their way to victory over Lazio on Sunday.
