Real Madrid to Extend Valencia’s Winless Run

Valencia’s bright start to the new season has all but come undone with the side now sitting 13th in the La Liga table. The hosts could only manage a 2-2 draw at home with Getafe last time out and have now gone four games without a victory.

Musah put Valencia 1-0 up in the 22nd minute, and that goal looked to have been enough to win the game. However, Hernandez equalised for Getafe in the 87th-minute and then deep into stoppage time the visitors scored again.

Amazingly, in the 10th-minute of time added on, Valencia were awarded a penalty, which Soler converted to rescue the hosts a share of the spoils.

Valencia have only won one of their last six league games, drawing twice and losing three times. Both teams have scored in four of Valencia’s last six outings, and over 2.5 goals have been scored in each of their last three matches.

Valencia haven’t won any of their last three clashes with Real Madrid, drawing at home in the league but losing away and losing to Madrid in the Super Cup. Four of the pair’s last six meetings have produced over 2.5 goals and on four occasions, both teams have scored.

Real Madrid have double the amount of points on the board this season than Valencia, despite playing one game fewer than Sunday’s hosts. Real extended their unbeaten run to three games in all competitions with their 4-1 home win over Huesca last time out.

Hazard scored the opening goal of the game, and Benzema made it 2-0 before the interval. Valverde scored a third early in the second half abut Fereiro pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 74th-minute. However, Madrid had the last laugh when Benzema netted his second of the match in the final minute.

Madrid have lost two of their last six matches, but both of those defeats arrived in their own backyard. The visitors are unbeaten on the road this season and beat Barcelona 3-1 in their last away game in La Liga. Both teams have scored in each of Real’s last four outings, and over 2.5 goals have been produced in each of those games.

Forebet is backing Real Madrid to maintain their unbeaten run with a win on Sunday, making it five games without a victory for Valencia. Everything points towards both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals being scored in this La Liga clash, and history favour a Madrid win.
