Eintracht Frankfurt seeking fifth straight Bundesliga win versus Hoffenheim
2826

Eintracht Frankfurt take a sterling record against Hoffenheim into their Bundesliga matchday 3 fixture. The Eagles have won four straight games against Hoffenheim in the league and seek their fifth straight victory against the Blues.

Adi Hutter’s team have not lost to Hoffenheim since the 2016-17 Bundesliga campaign. The last time the Blues went to the Commerz-bank Arena and won was the 2015-16 season. It has been a long time since Hoffenheim went away and claimed a victory versus Eintracht Frankfurt.

Hoffenheim are atop of the Bundesliga after two matchdays. The Blues put in an impressive performance last weekend as they defeated Bayern Munich 4-1 at home.

Coach Sebastian Honeneb has the team playing well. They have a +4-goal difference with seven goals scored and just three allowed. Prior to defeating Bayern Munich, and outplaying them last weekend, Hoffenheim defeated Koln 3-2 away.

Eintracht Frankfurt took four points from their first six available. A 1-1 draw at home to Arminia Bielefeld was followed by an away victory against Hertha Berlin. The Eagles are +2 in goal difference with four goals scored and two conceded.

Hutter’s team outscored Hoffenheim 3-1 over the course of two Bundesliga games in 2019-20. Martin Hinteregger scored in the first minute when the teams played at the Commerz-bank Arena last term and the goal held up for the following 89 minutes.

Their reverse fixture ended 2-1 in favour of Eintracht Frankfurt thanks to Bas Dost and Timmy Chandler scoring on either side of a Konstantinos Stafylidis goal for Hoffenheim.

Hutter has a massive injury problem at Eintracht Frankfurt as vital winger Filip Kostic sustained a knee injury last weekend. Steven Zuber is likely to step in for him.

Daichi Kamada tallied two assists versus Hertha Berlin last weekend while Andre Silva scored his 10th goal in his last 12 games. Defender Evan N’Dicka and Jetro Willems are back in training, but doubts for the game.

Hoffenheim have just one major injury issue as captain Benjamin Hubner is a doubt due to an ankle issue. Kevin Vogt is likely to step in for Hubner.

Eintracht Frankfurt have the opportunity to win their fifth straight game in the league versus Hoffenheim. The Blues should be good and continue to surprise this season.

Saturday’s game will see the two teams finish level in a score draw. Expect under 2.5 goals scored with Eintracht Frankfurt and Hoffenheim to stay unbeaten.
