Can free-scoring Stuttgart continue scoring goals and winning matches in the Bundesliga?

Stuttgart are on a great run of form, winning five of their last six games. The Swabians bagged 17 goals across those last six games. Will our algorithm predict a Stuttgart win and goals galore against Union Berlin on Friday night?

Union Berlin will try to stop Stuttgart’s unbeaten form. The Irons are not playing well, however. This has been a difficult season for the capital club. Not only did Union dismiss long-term coach Urs Fischer, but they are still battling against relegation.

The Irons will begin the weekend eight points ahead of 16th-place FC Koln. A win could put Union far enough away from the relegation zone. However, a defeat could see Union Berlin sucked closer to the bottom three.

Stuttgart could close the gap to second-place Bayern Munich with a win against Union. Currently, four points separate the two clubs in the standings.

The Swabians are top of the current Bundesliga form table. They took 16 points from the last six games, scoring 17 goals and conceding eight times. Twenty-nine of Stuttgart’s 50 points have come at home this term.

At the MHPArena, Stuttgart have scored 35 goals and conceded just 11 in 12 matches. Striker Serhou Guirassy is second in the Bundesliga’s goal scoring statistic charts with 20. He has registered 36% of Stuttgart’s scoring.

Meanwhile, on-loan striker Deniz Undav has added 14 goals. Undav should be fit to play after suffering an injury recently.

Union Berlin picked up eight points from their last six matches. They struggled for goals, tallying a mere five during those six fixtures. The defence played well, allowing only seven goals to opponents.

The Irons will go into the match winless in their last two games. A 2-2 draw with Heidenheim was followed by a 2-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund.

Only eight of Union’s 25 points have come on the road. They were outscored 21-9 in their 12 road fixtures. Defender Robin Gosens leads Union in goal scoring with six goals.

Coach Nenad Bjelica has no new injury issues. He will have a full list of first-team players available to pick from.

Friday’s game will be the second meeting of the season between the clubs. Stuttgart won 3-0 at Union earlier this season before claiming a 1-0 home victory in the DFB Pokal. Undav scored in both fixtures.

The last two games between these clubs saw Stuttgart win to nil. Will the trend continue? The Swabians are in great form and should post a third straight win to nil against Union. The Forebet algorithm predicts a 2-0 win for Stuttgart.
