Roma will be looking to maintain their resurgence following the departure of Jose Mourinho when they face Monza at the U-Power Stadium on Saturday.

Under the guidance of club legend Daniele De Rossi, Roma have climbed to sixth in the Serie A table – four points shy of the Champions League places.

Meanwhile, Monza find themselves 11th – eight points behind Roma – having avoided defeat in each of their last five matches.

Last weekend, Monza claimed a 2-0 victory over Salernitana, racking up 60% possession and 17 shots, with Daniel Maldini and Matteo Pessina scoring late on.

Thanks to an impressive 4-2 triumph against AC Milan, the Biancorossi have won each of their last two matches, with three victories coming in their previous five.

Trends show that Monza have enjoyed plenty of success on home soil this season, losing just three of their 13 Serie A matches at the U-Power Stadium.

Monza’s defensive stats are also impressive at home, as they have kept six clean sheets at the U-Power Stadium this term, conceding an average of one goal per game.

As for Roma, they secured a 3-2 victory over Torino last time out, with Paulo Dybala netting a hat-trick to extend his side’s hot streak.

Roma have now won five of their previous six league matches, defeating Hellas Verona, Salernitana, Cagliari and Frosinone before dispatching Torino.

Not only have De Rossi’s men won five of their last games, but they have also scored 16 goals along the way, averaging 2.7 goals per game during that period.

The statistics show that Roma have seen over 2.5 goals in each of their previous seven encounters, so Saturday’s clash will likely be a high-scoring affair.

Head-to-head: Monza have failed to get the better of Roma since gaining promotion to Serie A back in 2022, taking a solitary point from a possible nine.

The club from the capital have won two of their last three league meetings with the Biancorossi, keeping a couple of clean sheets for good measure.

Team news: Monza look set to be without the injured trio of Norbert Gyomber, Niccolo Pierozzi and Lorenzo Pirola for the foreseeable future.

Roma, on the other hand, are still without long-term injury absentee Tammy Abraham, with Diego Llorente also expected to miss this weekend’s clash.

Although Monza carry a five-game unbeaten run into Saturday’s showdown, Roma are expected to flex their muscles and extend their own hot streak.

Forebet’s AI algorithm predicts that Roma will score over 1.5 goals on their way to overcoming Monza, whose winless run in this fixture looks set to stretch to four matches.
