Bologna are the surprise package in Serie A this season under coach Thiago Motta. The Rossblu are on a four-game winning streak ahead of Hellas Verona’s arrival on Friday. Will our score predictor predict another Bologna win?

Hellas Verona will arrive at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium outside of the relegation zone.

The Gialloblu picked up a 2-2 draw against Juventus last time out to move themselves ahead of Sassuolo in the standings.

It was Hellas’ third draw in four matches. Despite the team picking up points through draws, Hellas have not won a match in their last four attempts in Serie A.

Still, having drawn 2-2 at home with Juventus, hopes will be high Hellas can crack on and move higher up the standings.

Bologna will begin the round in fifth place. They are knocking on the door of Champions League qualification.

Bologna will begin Friday night level on points with fourth-place Atalanta. A win would send them into fourth place and apply pressure to Atalanta before their weekend fixture.

The Rossoblu’s four-game win streak saw them defeat Sassuolo, Lecce, Fiorentina, and Lazio by a combined score of 12-3.

Under Motta, Bologna are one of the most exciting teams to watch. Last weekend’s come-from-behind 2-1 win over Lazio is a case in point.

Two of Bologna’s last three games were clean sheet wins. They have conceded the fourth-fewest goals in Serie A (23).

Meanwhile, the attack, led by Joshua Zirkzee, has scored 37 goals. Zirkzee has bagged nine of the team’s goals for a 24% of the scoring.

Friday’s game will be the third meeting of the campaign between the clubs.

The teams drew nil-nil at the Bentegodi earlier in the season, but Bologna claimed a 2-0 Coppa Italia win in October.

Bologna’s Nikola Moro and Sydney van Hooijdonk scored on either side of halftime. Hellas’ Suat Serdar was sent off in the second half.

Motta has just one player on the injury list and that is Adama Soumaoro. The defender is nursing a knee injury and could be back in March.

Likewise, Hellas Verona coach Marco Baroni has one player in the treatment room. Juan Manuel Cruz could miss the game due to physical discomfort.

Our algorithm predicts another Bologna Serie A win on Friday night. It will be the team’s fifth in a row and take them into the top four for at least the night. Zirkzee could get on the scoresheet again as Motta’s men win 3-0.
