After a magical result in midweek, Lazio is back in action in Serie A. We’ve looked at the win over Bayern Munich and put together the latest data and analysis for Forebet’s football predictions in the game between Lazio and Bologna in Rome.

The trends this season have seen Lazio struggle in front of goal, mainly due to the poor form of their usual elite striker Ciro Immobile.

He has only six goals in 19 Serie A games this campaign, but with a winner in the 1-0 victory at home the the Champions League hopefuls Bayern, Immobile secured his fifth Champions League goal to put him second in the outright top scorer list.

Lazio were opened up plenty of times, but with the data suggesting a lack of clean sheets, they managed to do so to a Bayern team that has scored 55 goals this season.

This game with Bologna, however, could be very different, and given the current state of Serie A, this could end up being one of the biggest games of the season for either side.

In contrast to last season’s third-placed finish, Lazio are now down in seventh. This does put them ahead of Napoli in ninth by two points, but they are also adrift of Bologna five points too.

Ultimately, a loss could already spell the end of Maurizio Sarri’s hopes of a return to Europe, as it’s already incredibly tight inside the top five.

Sarri’s side do have a game in hand to play, however, which does give them an excellent chance to get into fifth if they also win here in the Italian capital.

Lazio did get back to winning ways after their loss to Atalanta in Bergamo the other week, which seemingly ended a lot of fans' hopes of a European spot.

The club managed to win away to Cagliari, as Immobile got his sixth Serie A goal, meaning he now has three in a row after also bagging against Atalanta.

Felipe Anderson and an own goal from Alessandro Deiola were the other two goals.

It’s been one of Bologna’s best seasons in recent times, and they are now into fifth after winning for the 11th time this season in a fantastic 2-0 win against fellow European hopefuls, Fiorentina.

It was also Bologna's third win in a row after beating Lecce and Sassuolo, but all three games have been at home.

Forebet predicts over 2.5 goals and a win for Lazio this weekend.
