Ange Postecoglou and Roberto De Zerbi are among the most attack-minded managers in the Premier League, and we were reminded of that back in December.

When Brighton & Hove Albion hosted Tottenham Hotspur in the reverse fixture six weeks ago, the Seagulls claimed a 4-2 victory over Spurs at the Amex.

On Saturday, the two sides will renew hostilities in the Premier League, with Forebet’s algorithm pointing towards another eventful encounter.

Tottenham head into Saturday’s showdown on the back of a 2-2 draw against Everton, who scored a 94th-minute equaliser to cancel out Richarlison’s brace.

That draw extended Spurs’ unbeaten run in the Premier League to four matches, with two wins and two draws coming since their last loss.

Trends also show that Postecoglou’s side have lost just one of their previous eight league outings, picking up five wins while scoring 20 goals (2.5 goals per game).

On top of that, Tottenham have won eight of their 11 home games in the Premier League this season, netting 23 goals in the process (2.1 goals per game).

Brighton, meanwhile, secured a comfortable 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend, racking up 69% possession and 13 shots against their rivals.

Having suffered a shock 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Luton Town in the previous round, it was vital that De Zerbi’s side responded with a big performance.

The Seagulls made an impressive start to the season – winning five of their opening six matches – but they have since picked up just four victories in 17 outings.

It is also worth noting that Brighton possess the highest BTTS ratio in the division (83%), with both teams scoring in 19 of their 23 matches this term.

Head-to-head: As we already mentioned, Brighton crushed Spurs 4-2 in the reverse fixture, meaning each of the past two meetings have produced over 2.5 goals.

Given that both sides have won three of the past six league meetings, Saturday’s showdown looks destined to be a close-fought battle.

Team news: Tottenham’s injury list contains Manor Solomon and Ryan Sessegnon, while Giovani Lo Celso is a doubt for this weekend.

As for the hosts, Solly March, James Milner, Julio Enciso and Joel Veltman are injured, while Simon Adingra is representing Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.

If recent meetings between these two sides are anything to go by, we should be treated to another entertaining clash on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that Tottenham and Brighton will combine for over 2.5 goals, with the hosts outscoring the visitors on this occasion.
