Girona are eyeing up top spot in La Liga once again this weekend, and ahead of their game with Real Sociedad, Forebet has put together the latest trends, analysis, football predictions and data for this game between two European hopefuls.
After leading the way in La Liga for so long, Girona have dropped into second place and behind Real Madrid by two points after the club defeated Getafe 2-0 at home in their midweek game in hand.
It still leaves Girona well within the title race, but with Real now top, it's going to take a lot of hope for the serial winners of La Liga to drop out of first place and into second.
Nevertheless, Girona have still put together 17 wins, which is just one less than Real's tally, while the data this season sees the club with the most goals scored with 52 on the board.
The statistics for Girona also sees only one loss on the board, although they did lose to Mallorca in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals too just two weeks ago.
They immediately bounced back to the win column with a 1-0 win away to Celta Vigo, as Portu scored in the first half to secure all three points.
The only loss for Girona in La Liga this season was against Real back in September, as the 14-time European champions ran out 3-0 winners at the Estadi Montilivi.
The second-placed side do, however, head to the Santiago Bernabeu next weekend, where Girona could find themselves getting back into first place.
What will give the club confidence for that game is how they managed to beat Barcelona 4-2 away from home back in December in a thrilling matchup.
Firstly, however, they must take on an impressive Sociedad.
The sixth-placed side managed to draw with Rayo Vallecano at home last time out, but by defeating Celta Vigo in the quarter-finals two weeks ago, they now meet with Mallorca next week in the first leg of the semi-finals.
Sociedad will also have eyes on their Champions League encounters with Paris Saint-Germain, as it doesn't look as if they will be able to make it into the top four this season with a gap of 11 on Barcelona in fourth.
It feels like every game is a must-win for Girona now, as they trail Real. Forebet predicts a draw and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
