League action returns for Inter Milan and Fiorentina this weekend where we look at the mathematics of over/under 2.5 goals, the Serie A football predictions, the team forms and our analysis of the game.
Inter Milan and Fiorentina will play out a massive game in Serie A this weekend with the San Siro side aiming to get into first place once more just as Fiorentina look to keep hold of fourth spot in the league.
In their own ways, both of these two sides are having tremendous campaigns in Serie A. Inter are currently trailing Juventus by one point in the two-horse title race, as they are also ahead of their city rivals AC Milan by six points.
On the other hand, Inter have a game in hand to deal with too, meaning fate is still well within their own hands.
With 16 league wins on the board, Inter have parked their league form in the past week to make way for Supercoppa Italiana action against Lazio and Napoli.
The favourites to win Serie A eased to a 3-0 win over Lazio in the semi-finals, thanks to a goal each from Marcus Thuram, Hakan Calhanoglu and Davide Frattesi.
A meeting with Napoli in the final would follow, as Lautaro Martinez continued to prove why he is one of Europe's top players this season with the Argentine bagging the winning goal in the 91st minute to secure the first trophy of the season for Inter.
Martinez now has 19 goals in 21 games on the domestic front for his side, including 18 goals in 18 Serie A games to put him in top spot of the top scorer award.
He also has two in six Champions League games, as Inter qualified out of their group with ease with an unbeaten run from six outings.
Last time out in the league, Inter defeated Monza 5-1 with another brace from Martinez, as Calhanoglu also secured a brace in the game alongside another finish from Thuram.
This was the eighth goal of the season from Thuram, as Calganoglu secured his ninth that day.
As for Fiorentina, they are one of Italy’s surprise packages this season with a place in fourth right now as they look to secure a return to the Champions League.
The Florence side have won 50% of their league games and also beat Bologna in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals two weeks ago.
