Two sides eyeing up a spot in the Champions League will clash in Serie A this weekend with AC Milan playing hosts to the surprise package of Bologna and we're back for all the mathematics and football predictions for this one.
Bologna have been excellent this season, and although they have dropped into seventh recently after a stunning loss to Cagliari amidst a three-game league winless run, they are still only behind Fiorentina in fourth by two points with a sensational defensive record of 18 goals conceded.
Bologna have also managed to lose to the Florence outfit in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals three weeks ago, and alongside them also drawing 1-1 with Genoa and losing 3-0 away to Udinese, the club are coming into this one without a win for a month since beating Atalanta.
That win over the Bergamo side saw Lewis Ferguson grab a goal late on to move them into fourth, but a win here away to Milan at the San Siro would be arguably their biggest of the league season so far.
On the other hand, Bologna have already managed to get a win at the San Siro this season by defeating Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia round of 16 with a goal each in extra time from Sam Beukema and Dan Ndoye, as Inter took a 1-0 lead.
They have also drawn 2-2 with Inter in the league at the San Siro, which again, is a commendable feat given how last season's runners-up in the Champions League are still flying high in first place.
As well as this, however, Milan have already got a win over Bologna at the Renato Dall'Ara this campaign in Serie A.
Christian Pulisic got his first Milan goal that day, as Olivier Giroud kept up his excellent goalscoring nature with the Serie A giants by grabbing himself his first goal of the league season - the timeless Frenchman has bagged 10 goals in 18 Serie A games in what has been another fantastic season for him.
As for Milan, they are in third and only behind the top spot by six points. They managed to defeat Udinese at the Dacia Arena last time out to extend their winning run in Serie A to four games. This also now means six wins at the San Siro in Serie A.
Forebet predicts a win for Milan and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
