We’ve grouped together the football predictions for Eintracht Frankfurt and Mainz this Friday night, taking a look at the probability and mathematics of either side winning and under/over 2.5 goals.
Bundesliga action carries on this weekend with Eintracht Frankfurt welcoming Mainz to the Deutsche Bank Park where the home side are sitting up in sixth after a much-improved season so far.
Under the guidance of Dino Toppmöller, the German has catapulted his side into sixth and in the Europa Conference League spot with just a gap of five points on the fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund.
This has seen Frankfurt lose only four of their 18 matches, winning seven and drawing the other seven. As this is six more victories than the struggling Mainz, the probability of Frankfurt winning is quite high.
The home side are coming into this one without a loss in the Bundesliga since a 3-0 defeat away to Bayer Leverkusen just over a month ago.
This has seen the club beat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1 where they stunningly scored twice in stoppage time to secure the win.
Frankfurt also recorded a famous win away to RB Leipzig, as Ansgar Knauff scored in the first seven minutes of a 1-0 win. A 2-2 draw away to Darmstadt saw Niels Nkounkou and Knauff score, but a 95th-minute equaliser ruined the day for Frankfurt.
Things look very different for Mainz heading into this game, and with massive games against fellow strugglers Werder Bremen and Union Berlin to come, this match feels like a huge one for Mainz, who come into this game with only one win on the board and eight defeats.
This sees the club with 11 points, which is the same as Koln and Darmstadt also in the drop zone, but Mainz are above them on goals difference after scoring 14 and letting in 29.
Better yet, they have managed to secure two draws recently, including a commendable point away to Borussia Dortmund before Silvan Widmer's goal gave them a point at home to Wolfsburg.
The only victory for Mainz this season was quite incredibly against Leipzig. Lee Jae-sung and Leandro Barreiro scored a goal each that day in the second half.
Mainz have also been booted out of the DFB-Pokal this season, losing 3-0 away to 2. Bundesliga’s Hertha Berlin.
Forebet now predicts a draw and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
