Friday night La Liga action is back this week with Deportivo Alaves welcoming Cadiz to the Mendizorroza as both sides sit down in the bottom half of the table in Spain’s top flight.
Despite Alaves sitting down in the bottom half of the league table, it’s Cadiz who head into this one in dire straits once again.
Before the Friday night battle, the club are still in the relegation zone with only two victories on the board.
This has also seen Cadiz lose nine times and draw the other nine, while they have even managed to score the fewest goals in the league, which is alarming given how last-placed Almeria haven't even won a game from 20 matches.
You have to stretch back 14 games all the way to the start of September to see the last game Cadiz won, as they managed to edge past Villarreal from behind.
Chris Ramos scored that day before Darwin Machis netted a goal in either half to seal all three points.
Even in this run, Cadiz failed to defeat Badalona in 90 minutes of their Copa del Rey run and needed penalties to get the job done.
Cadiz's only other win this season, ironically enough, came against Alaves back on the opening day of the season where Federico San Emeterio scored a goal after seven minutes. Gonzalo Escalante was sent off late on for the club that day for Cadiz too.
On the other hand to their woeful winless run, Cadiz know that a win could move them to as high as 16th with Sevilla in 17th only a point ahead, while Celta Vigo in 16th are only two clear.
As for Alaves, they are six places higher in 16th right now with five wins on the board and 10 defeats too, meaning they've actually lost more games than Cadiz. They also have a terrible record of only three more goals scored with 18.
Alaves were in Copa del Rey action during the week and lost 2-0 to Athletic Club 2-0.
They did, however, give their relegation fight a massive battle with a 3-2 win over Sevilla last time out in the league where Kike Garcia and Nahuel Tenaglia scored first half goals - the headlines were stolen by Ruben Duarte with a 90th-minute goal.
Forebet predicts a draw in this game and for the match to see under 2.5 goals.
