Taca de Portugal round of 16 action is upon us this Tuesday night as Porto heads to the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota to meet with Estoril Praia after both teams dropped points over the weekend.

Porto’s pursuit of another Liga Portugal title took another hit over the weekend with a draw against Boavista, although they did have seven shots on target from 24 efforts with Toni Martinez scoring again in that game for what was his third finish of the league season.

The result keeps Porto sitting third in the league table and only ahead of Braga by two points. The club are adrift of the league leaders Sporting Lisbon by five points and also sit behind Benfica in the league table by four points.

This did keep up Porto's unbeaten run over the past three weeks, however, following on from their loss away to the league-leading Sporting Lisbon.

One of their recent wins within the past month has seen Porto defeat Leixoes 2-1 in the Taca da Liga group stages before a win over Chaves in the league and that draw with Boavista.

In another group stage match in the Taca da Liga, Porto actually lost to Estoril Praia 3-1 on matchday two. This saw Pepe score in the first half to equaliser after a Cassino Dias Moreira goal.

The game was then won in dramatic fashion with Rafik Guitane scoring the decisive goal in the 91st minute before Joao Carlos Cardoso Sanot bagged a 95th-minute penalty.

Back in the Taca de Portugal, Porto last defeated Montalegre 4-0 in the fourth round with a finish from Danny Loader, a brace from Evanilson and a goal from Fran Navarro.

As for Estoril Praia, they are sitting 11th in the league and head into this one off the back of a 5-1 battering from Sporting over in Lisbon. Dias Moreira scored once more that day.

Prior to that heavy loss, the club did ease past Farense 4-0 with a brace from Joa Marques, a goal from Tiago Araujo and another finish from Raul Parra.

Within the past month, Estoril Praia also have that win over Porto to boast of, while they also defeated Chaves 4-0 with a Rodrigo Gomes brace and a goal each from Alejandro Marques and Heriberto Tavares.

Back in the league, they have secured 30 goals but also let in 29. This will favour a Porto side that has let in only 12 goals, and Forebet predicts a win for them and under 2.5 goals.
