Crystal Palace and Everton are set to meet in the FA Cup on Thursday afternoon at Selhurst Park with the Toffees heading into this one off the back of a much-improved run of form and a decent run in the EFL Cup already.

Everton are out of the EFL Cup following on from their quarter-finals defeat to Fulham on penalties, but after fighting relegation for most of the season and amidst their 10-point deduction, Sean Dyche’s men should be commended for their form over the past two months.

On the other hand, Everton are on a current three-game losing run in 90 minutes and four when you consider the penalty shootout defeat to the Cottagers.

This run has seen Dyche's side lose to Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers all in the league.

The last win for the club came back in mid-December when Burnley were beaten 2-0 at Turf Moor by Everton, although they did also beat Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Chelsea before this in what was a four-game winning run throughout early December.

It has also been just under two months since Everton beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League in a 3-2 thriller.

Vitaliy Mykolenko scored after just one minute that day, as Eberechi Eze bagged after only five minutes in the game too. Abdoulaye Doucoure gave his side the lead once more in the second half before Odsonne Edouard netted an equaliser.

In the end, all three points were stolen by Idrissa Gueye, as the midfielder scored with just four minutes left on the clock to win the game.

As for Palace, it’s been a tough season for them and although a relegation fight doesn't look on the cards, they are just five points above the 17th-placed Everton, which doesn't read too well for fans.

The Eagles have also won just one game since that defeat to Everton back in November, as they managed to beat Brentford last weekend.

Defeats have come in from Luton Town, Bournemouth, Liverpool and Chelsea since that loss to the Toffees, while they also drew with City, Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United.

In the last game against the Bees, Michael Olise scored twice alongside another finish from Eze - the two have been by far the best two players for Palace this season. They did also go 1-0 down after only two minutes.
