Celtic and Feyenoord meet in the final group stage match of the Champions League this Wednesday night with both sides set to play out a meaningless game with neither one of them able to change spots at Celtic Park.

The Hoops, as they have done countless times down the years, have finished bottom of their Champions League group.

This has seen them fail to win a single game and lose four times and draw with only Atletico Madrid three matchdays ago.

Kyogo Furuhashi scored that day alongside a finish from Luis Palma, as Celtic took the lead on two occasions.

Since then, Lazio have managed to beat them 2-0 in Rome, while Feyenoord themselves managed to defeat the Scottish Premiership giants 2-0 on their own patch as well.

It was a disastrous night for Celtic, as Calvin Stengs and Alireza Jahanbakhsh scored a goal in either half for the home side, while Gustaf Lagerbielke and Odin Thiago Holm were both sent off for Celtic.

Despite comfortably sitting top of the Scottish Premiership table once again, the Hoops do head into this one having suffered a loss to Kilmarnock for what was their first loss of the season in the league.

Matt O'Riley scored in the first half, but two late goals secured a 2-1 win for Kilmarnock in what was just the second loss on the domestic front for Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers’ men are still top of top of the Scottish top tier, as they have now won 13 games, drawn three and lost one by scoring 43 times and letting in only 12 - only Rangers have a better defensive record so far.

As for Feyenoord, they sit second in the Eredivisie with Volendam falling to a defeat at their hands last time out - Quinten Timber, Santiago Gimenez and Igor Paixao all scored goals that day, including two finishes deep into stoppage time.

Feyenoord had 84% of the ball that day with 10 shots on target from 30 efforts.

Feyenoord lost to Atletico Madrid out home in the last outing, which now means they are guaranteed to finish in third and head into the Europa League in 2024.

They did, however, lose to PSV Eindhoven two weeks ago and now sit 10 points adrift of them in first place.

Forebet predicts another win for Feyenoord and a fifth loss from six games for Celtic with the game seeing over 2.5 goals.
