The final clash of the Premier League weekend sees Manchester City entertain Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The two sides are separated by three points in the Premier League table, with second-placed Man City leading fifth-placed Tottenham.
That said, Pep Guardiola’s side have avoided defeat in each of their last five league outings, while Spurs have lost each of their previous three.
On Tuesday, Man City came from 2-0 down to beat RB Leipzig 3-2 in the Champions League, with Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez scoring in the second half.
The Cityzens have now avoided defeat in each of their last eight matches across all competitions, picking up six wins and two draws in the process.
It is worth remembering, however, that City have drawn their previous two Premier League games, sharing a crazy eight-goal thriller with Chelsea before last weekend’s 1-1 stalemate against Liverpool.
Still, Guardiola’s men head into Sunday’s showdown on a 31-game unbeaten streak at the Etihad, so they will back themselves to claim all three points.
Tottenham, meanwhile, suffered a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa last weekend, meaning they have lost each of their last three matches.
Not only have Ange Postecoglou’s side suffered three successive losses, but they have also thrown away the lead in three straight games.
Spurs made a hugely impressive start to the season, securing eight wins and two draws to chalk up a 10-game unbeaten streak between August and October.
Although the North Londoners have taken a turn for the worse since then, they remain just four points behind table-topping Arsenal in the early title race.
Head-to-head: Let’s not forget that Tottenham have enjoyed plenty of success against Man City in recent times, with Spurs winning three of the past four meetings.
It is also worth noting that Tottenham have won five of their previous seven league matches against City, so Guardiola’s men will be eager to put that right.
Team news: Kevin De Bruyne remains a long-term injury absentee for Man City, while Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes are doubts for this weekend.
Tottenham’s lengthy injury list contains Ivan Perisic, Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Ryan Sessegnon, Manor Solomon, Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Although Spurs have overcome City on numerous occasions in recent seasons, the injury-hit visitors will struggle to inflict another defeat on the champions this time around.
Forebet predicts that Man City and Tottenham will combine for over 4.5 goals on Sunday, with the hosts outscoring the visitors.
