Manchester City will welcome Bournemouth to the Etihad this weekend where they look to rack up a bunch of goals against the Cherries with aims of getting back to the top of the Premier League.

City are trailing Tottenham Hotspur in first place by one point in the Premier League table after losing to Arsenal a few weeks back and Wolverhampton Wanderers before that.

They have, however, gone on to put together a much better winning run after a 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion that saw Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez get amongst the goals before Haaland bagged a brace in a 3-1 victory over BSC Young Boys, as Manuel Akanji also scored.

City also recorded a victory in the Manchester derby where Haaland scored twice with a goal from Phil Foden late on too. The Premier League champions also had 10 shots on target that day.

This now means Pep Guardiola's men have put together eight wins from the 10 Premier League matches and are yet to draw a game this season. They also have the best defensive record with seven goals let in and 22 goals scored of their own.

Better yet for Guardiola’s men, he heads into this game knowing that City have never suffered a defeat to Bournemouth in their history. The club also head into this game after beating Bournemouth twice last season in a 4-1 win and a 4-0 victory too.

As for the Cherries, they are hovering just above the relegation zone right now and with only one win on the board from the 10 matches. They have also let in 21 goals already and scored just eight of their own.

Bournemouth also lost during the week when Liverpool managed to beat them 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium, as Justin Kluivert got his first goal for his new club. They did, however, get their first win of the season in the last outing, as Antoine Semenyo and Philip Billing scored a goal each in a win over Burnley.

On the other hand, they did put together a losing run of four games before this in the Premier League, only racking up points in draws against Bournemouth and Chelsea throughout September.

This game is merely a case of how many goals City will score, as opposed to whether or not they will win. Forebet predicts a win for City and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
